07/20/02 I will never criticize Blizzard or Bioware for taking too damn long with a release date ever again. (I'll probably still criticize them, but at least now I can also identify with them.) I now own two computers. Why? because when a big bad-ass thunderstorm blows up your first one, you can hook up your backup to keep on workin' whilst you repair the first. I was lucky, only the power supply went. The data was saved. I'm back up to 75% efficiency I'd say. If I could just find my Photoshop CD, I'd be full steam ahead again. I just don't have the cabbage for a new disk, so my hunt for Nopraptor continues. THIS PAGE WILL HAPPEN! *whew* Got some more reviews from Sqwiggles and the review site is coming along nicely. More comics are done, but be patient. We're not quite there yet. Soon, but not yet. I've been collaborating with Jekka and Sarah (from QuirkeyJekka and ITOS respectively) on their webcomic, Under an Emerald Moon. I can't wait until that project first sees the light of day. Either one of them alone can make me laugh until it hurts. What the two of them together are capable of scares me! (Two words: Zombie Radio.) Really, go visit their sites to get an idea of what I mean. Brilliant. I have a new favorite word: Sammich. 05/16/02 Got the drop-down menu running. You can go from strip to strip using the "Archived Strips" menu above. Yup, that's right, both of 'em. Just got back from Starwars. Without any spoilers, I have two things to say. 1: I enjoyed it. 2: I definitely have some new comic material. I won't even have to try to think of ways to make fun of it later, it was way to easy just SITTING there! Most of what I was afraid of all came true, but I'll touch on that later, after you've seen it. I'd see it again, though, it was fun. 05/15/02 Trent Bengal is one of the two main characters in Paradox Lost. He's sort of the "jaded gamer", much preferring old school console games and classics to the games of today which have more emphasis on realistic graphics than story or content. This is one of the first sketches I did for Paradox Lost, as I'm sure you can tell by its... well, sketchiness. The name "Trent Bengal" is easy to explain. I was listening to NIN and happen to see a picture of a Bengal Tiger. A lot of people ask me about the eggplant on his t-shirt. Well, that should be easy to figure out, but let's see what you come up with. There's a forum up there somewhere that I'm sure will listen to your ideas. Well, we're getting close to launch! I'm a little wary of posting the launch date, but at least that way I'll be more inclined to... well freak out if it's not up. June first, folks. By then my goal is to have the new domain and server up with weekly updates. it WILL be (read: isn't yet) paradox-lost.com when I launch. Note the hyphen. My secondary goal is to get the new message board running. In the mean time I'll be posting more concept art, so keep your eyes peeled. That's a lot of work to do in the next two weeks between the hours of full-time job! Wheee! It should be a lot of fun to read my next few news posts as I slowly begin to freak! -and in his spare time he likes to hit himself in the head with a very large hammer...
